Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

MANU BALAGUER (Barcelona, 05/01/1955) Licenciado en Psicología por la UAB. A principios de los 90 abandona la docencia universitaria y se inicia en el cine como ayudante de dirección de varios largometrajes de ficción y series documentales. En 1992 dirige su primer cortometraje: To blow one's brains out y, al año siguiente, Xafar. En 1998 realiza su primer largometraje, El faro. En el año 2001 funda la Cofradía, una productora independiente de documentales. Entre otros ha dirigido los siguientes documentales: Anglada Camarasa, la llum de l’illa (2011)  y  La cantonada de Babel (2010)

MANU BALAGUER (Barcelona, Spain, 01/05/1955) Bachelor of Psychology for the UAB. At the beginning of the 90's, he left behind the university teaching and began in the cinema, as a direction's assistant of various full-lengths fictions and documentary series. In 1992, he directs his first short: To blow one's brains out and, in the following year, Xafar. In 1998, he achieves his first feature film, El Faro. In the year 2001 he creates La Cofradía, an independent production company for documentaries.
