Sinopsis / Synopsis

Pandora, una mujer trans de cuarenta años que vive en un barrio residencial de La Habana, rechaza a Roy, el adolescente que la quiere conquistar. Con el paso del día, evalúa las razones para darle a Roy, o no, una oportunidad.

Pandora, a 40-year-old transgender woman living in a residential neighbourhood in Havana, rejects Roy, the teenager who tries to win her over. While caring for a neighbour’s child, she gets an unpleasant surprise that makes her consider wether or not to give Roy a chance.

ALAN GONZÁLEZ (Artemisa, Cuba, 19/05/1987) Cineasta cubano con cinco cortometrajes, tales como El hormiguero (Mejor película latinoamericana en Zinebi) y, más recientemente, Azul Pandora, estrenado en IFFR (2024). Su ópera prima, La Mujer Salvaje, fue estrenada en TIFF (2023) y premiada en La Habana, Málaga y BAFICI, entre otros. Ha sido guionista de películas como Perejil (Dir. Jose Maria Cabral) y director de fotografía de otras como El techo (Dir. Patricia Ramos) Actualmente es jefe de la Cátedra de Guion en la EICTV, Cuba.

ALAN GONZÁLEZ (Artemisa, Cuba, 19/05/1987) Cuban filmmaker with five short films such as El hormiguero (Best Latin American Film at Bilbao, Zinebi) and more recently Azul Pandora, premiered at IFFR (2024) His debut feature La mujer salvaje was premiered at TIFF (2023) and won awards at Havana, Malaga, and BAFICI, among others. At the same time he has written screenplays for films such as Perejil (directed by Jose Maria Cabral) and worked as cinematographer in others like El techo (directed by Patricia Ramos) He is currently Head of the Screenwriting Department at EICTV, Cuba.
