Sinopsis / Synopsis

El documental ‘Después de la Lluvia’ nos sumerge en tres historias de lucha y superación en la Colombia post conflicto que tienen como telón de fondo la violencia machista, el conflicto de las FARC y el respeto por el entorno rural. Superar la violencia, el maltrato, apostar por el desarrollo rural y luchar contra el cambio climático son algunos de los más importantes desafíos de nuestro tiempo, y todos están presentes en Después de la lluvia. Sus protagonistas demuestran cómo afrontar estos desafíos y salir de la pobreza con la ayuda necesaria e invirtiendo en educación.

The documentary 'After the Rain' immerses us in three stories of struggle and overcoming in post-conflict Colombia against the backdrop of male violence, the FARC conflict and respect for the rural environment. Overcoming violence and abuse, supporting rural development and fighting climate change are some of the most important challenges of our time, and they are all present in After the Rain. Its protagonists show how to face these challenges and get out of poverty with the necessary help and by investing in education.

Ofelia de Pablo y Javier Zurita son reconocidos documentalistas, periodistas y fotógrafos. Su trabajo les ha llevado a recorrer más de 70 países documentando temas sociales, medioambientales y políticos que definen nuestros tiempos. Desde su productora Hakawatifilm dirigen y producen proyectos enfocados en temas de derechos humanos y de conservación para varios de los mejores medios de comunicación y fundaciones del mundo como The Guardian (UK), The New York Times, Channel 4 News (UK) o WWF Media, entre otros. Sus trabajos han recibido prestigiosos galardones internacionales como, entre otros, el premio en el Wildscreen International Festival, el festival internacional de documentales sobre medioambiente más importante del mundo por “Sharing the Land” o su nominación  a los Amnesty Media Award por Red Gold Slavery.

Ofelia de Pablo and Javier Zurita are filmmakers, journalists and photographers. Their works have taken them to more than 70 countries documenting environmental, social and political issues that define our times.
They are internationally recognized for their adoption of a hybrid visual narrative, directing and producing influential multimedia documentaries for several of the world's best media and foundations: The Guardian (UK), National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times, Channel 4 News (UK), Der Spiegel, WWF Media, Red Bull Media House, among others.
From their production company Hakawatifilm, they are telling stories that rise awarness and advocates for positive change. Since the founding Hakawatifilm has been at the forefront of documentary storytelling, generating award-winning stories like "Sharing the Land" awarded, among others, at the Wildscreen Festival, the most important international nature and conservation documentary film festival in the world. Their story "Red Gold Slavery" was nominated for the Amnesty Media Award and they have received the Manuel Ortiz Foundation NY award for "The Invisible Genocide" published in The New York Times.
