Sinopsis / Synopsis

Ramón Vinyes (1882-1952) fue dramaturgo, periodista, conferenciante, librero, creador de revistas literarias, profesor y mentor de jóvenes artistas, entre los cuales Gabriel García Márquez que le rindió homenaje por medio del personaje del “sabio catalán” en Cien años de soledad. Aunque vivió 25 años en Colombia y que este país le brindó un reconocimiento que Cataluña se negaba a darle, se sintió dividido entre dos idiomas, dos países y dos maneras de entender la vida y el arte.

Ramón Vinyes (1882-1952) was a writer, journalist, teacher and mentor of young artists, among them Gabriel García Márquez who paid tribute to him thanks to the “catalan wise man” character in One hundred years of solitude. Three long stays (25 years) in Colombia determined the course of his life. Although Colombia gave him recognition Catalonia refused to give him, he felt torn between two languages, two countries and two ways of understanding life and art.

FLOREAL PELEATO (18/09/1972) Es autor de los documentales Elegía del trópico (2011) y La mano azul (2009), así como del libro de relatos Siete voces (Premio Rafael González Castell, 2009). Ha escrito un guión de largometraje de ficción seleccionado mediante el certamen iberoamericano organizado por la Casa de América y después por el programa europeo Equinoxe, y un guión de largometraje de ficción seleccionado por el programa Mediscript. Además, ha animado talleres dedicados al cine en España, Portugal, Francia, Colombia, Panamá, Bolivia y Perú. Por otra parte, colabora desde 2003 con la revista de cine Positif.

FLOREAL PELEATO (Spain, 18/09/1972) He has directed two documentaries The blue hand (La mano azul, 2009) and Elegy from the tropic (Elegía del trópico, 2011). He also has written short stories (Siete Voces, Rafael González Castell prize 2009) and he has finished a novel (finalist Prize Ateneo de Valladolid 2009). He has written two long feature films screenplays, one of them selected by Casa de America and by the programme Equinoxe and a second one by the programme Mediscript. He has also been in charge of some script writing workshops in Spain, Portugal, France, Bolivia, Colombia, Panama and Peru. He has given teaching lessons on cinema and coordinated cultural activities.
