Sinopsis / Synopsis

Alexandra, de unos 20 años, que vive con su madre y su hermano discapacitado mental, trabaja en una fábrica textil en la Rumanía comunista. Debido al decreto antiaborto, las mujeres están acostumbradas a los chequeos ginecológicos mensuales. Pero esta vez, un “desfile” sorpresa obliga a Alexandra a tomar una decisión drástica.

Alexandra, early 20s, living with her mother and her mentally disabled brother, works at a textile factory in communist Romania. Because of the anti-abortion decree, women are used to the monthly gynecological check-ups. But this time, a surprise “parade” forces Alexandra to take a drastic decision.

Ioana Ţurcan es directora de cine y artista visual interdisciplinaria, egresada del post-MA en el Royal Institute of Art, Suecia. Tiene una maestría en producción de películas y videos en la Facultad de Artes Visuales y Escénicas, Syracuse, Nueva York, donde estudió y enseñó escritura de guiones y artes visuales.

Ioana Ţurcan is a film director and interdisciplinary visual artist, graduate of the post-MA at the Royal Institute of Art, Sweden. She has an MFA in Film and Video Production at the College of Visual and Performing Arts, Syracuse, NY where she studied and taught script writing and visual arts.
