NICOLÁS CAICOYA (Oviedo, 03/01/1976) Comenzó a grabar videos de las operaciones para usarlas durante las clases. Así comenzó su carrera cinematográfica. Intentó estudiar Imagen pero pronto comenzó una fructífera carrera en el mundo de la publicidad. Sus anuncios, alejados de la tipología clásica, pronto llamaron la atención, ganar premios y le permitieron trabajar fuera de España rapidamente. Ha trabajado para Nintendo, Vodafone, Coca Cola, Ikea, Disneyland Paris, Atlético de Madrid, Nissan, Dodge, Samsung, Panasonic, Movistar, Swisscom, British Telecom, Beeline, Canada Dry, Mc Donald’s, Skoda, Fiat, HSBC , Chrysler, Campari...Entre otras. Desde 2005 colabora con Barbara Manfredini, su producer internacional. La publicidad, como dice él, ha sido la mejor escuela que existe. Pero ahora, tras años de trabajo, se siente preparado para evolucionar hacia la ficción.

NICOLÁS CAICOYA (Oviedo, SPAIN, 03/01/1976) He started his director career filming his father’s operations to be used during his classes at university. He attended Communications school and acquired much of his experience in film in Spain. He established his memorable storytelling style early on in his career, his commercials for Atletico Madrid earned him two Bronze Cannes Lions. His work is infused with an unexpected hyper reality and lightness. Nicolas’ sensitive hand with actors and real people lend his films strong performances. His chemistry of subtle wit and humour, visual storytelling and a beautiful cinematic aesthetic sets his work apart. Nicolas filmmaking talents give his work a depth and richness of detail that makes it fun to watch over and over. He believes the strongest ad are always the result of a great idea but also a collaboration with the agency and the client and his team. He is a hands-on director with an eye for solutions that support the creative. Nicolas’ diverse output includes campaigns for Nintendo, Vodafone, Coca Cola, Ikea, Disneyland Paris, Atletico de Madrid, Nissan, Dodge, Samsung, Panasonic, Movistar, Swisscom, British Telecom, Beeline, Canada Dry, Mc Donald’s, Skoda, Fiat, HSBC, Chrysler, Campari, to name few. Since 2005 he collaborates with Barbara Manfredini, his personal producer, who also reps him worldwide. But now is time for feature!
