Sinopsis / Synopsis

Tom, un cómico flamenco que se dedica al doblaje de dibujos animados, reemplaza a un amigo doblador. Al final, termina encontrándose en el estudio de una película pornográfica de habla francesa. Catherine, actriz con experiencia, será su compañera en el rodaje. Hoy, Tom será el fontanero.

Tom, a Flemish comedian used to doing cartoon character’s voices, replaces offhand a doubler friend. He finds himself in the studio of a pornographic french speaking film. Catherine, an experienced actress, will be his partner. Tom will play the plumber.

XAVIER SÉRON (Bélgica, 1975): Después de estudiar Derecho, entra en la IAD (Belgium at the Arts of Broadcasting Institute) en Bélgica en 2001. En 2005, su película de fin de estudios Rien d'Insoluble es seleccionada en numerosos festivales internacionales, como la Mostra de Venecia. En 2007, dirige con Christophe Hermans un cortometraje de ficción titulado The Crab, que es seleccionado en numerosos festivales, como el de Angers. Por petición de Bouli Lanners, dirige el making-of de la película El Dorado. En 2011, rueda con Méryl Fortunat-Rossi el corto Moonshine, que es nominado al Magritte y obtiene múltiples premios. En 2013, dirige Dreamcatchers con Cédric Bourgeois, un documental sobre boxeadores belgas. Desde 2012 es supervisor de las películas de final de estudios de la IAD.

MÉRYL FORTUNAT-ROSSI (Francia, 1979): Nacido en Arlés, descubre la fotografía en el instituto, antes de dar el giro hacia el cine. Entre 1998 y 2000 codirige tres cortometrajes amateur. De 2001 a 2005, estudia dirección en el IAD. Hoy día, vive en Bruselas y reparte el tiempo entre su trabajo en televisión (RTBF) y sus propias creaciones.

 

XAVIER SÉRON (Belgium, 1975): After law studies, Xavier Seron enters IAD (Belgium) in 2001. In 2005, Rien d'Insoluble, his end of studies movie, is selected in numerous festivals worldwide among which the Venice Mostra. In 2007, he directs with Christophe Hermans a short film of fiction entitled The Crab. The movie is selected in many festivals, in particular at the international short film festival of Angers. At the request of Bouli Lanners, he directs the making-of of the movie El Dorado. In 2011, he commits with Méryl Fortunat-Rossi an ethological short film entitled Moonshine.The movie nominated at the Magritte and rewarded many times (Jean-Jacques Rausin who plays the lead role, won three prizes of interpretation. In 2013, he directs Dreamcatchers with Cédric Bourgeois, a full-length documentary about Belgian wrestlers. Since 2012, he supervises end of studies movies at IAD.

MÉRYL FORTUNAT-ROSSI (France, 1979): French director born in Arles on April 24th, 1979. He discovers photography in high school before turning to the cinema. Between 1998 and 2000, he co-directs three amateur short films.
From 2001 till 2005, he studies direction in Belgium at the Arts of Broadcasting Institute (IAD). He lives today in Brussels where he shares his time between television ( RTBF) and his own creations.
