Sinopsis / Synopsis

Al parecer Truman Capote dijo una vez -y Jane Bowles lo repitió mil veces- que ante la Acrópolis de Atenas, algunos se sienten en "en estado de sabiduría"; ante San Pedro de Roma, algunos deberían sentirse en "estado de gracia", pero que ante el Zoco Chico de Tánger, todos se sentían "en estado de libertad". JOSÉ RAMÓN DA CRUZ (Tánger, 17/03/1961), es videoartista, realizador de publicidad y televisión y director de cine español. En 1978, los 17 años, crea el equipo de cine experimental Grupo TAU, (Faboproducciones TAU o Sindikato Nacional de Espectákulos). Inicia estudios de Sociología y Ciencias Políticas que abandona para centrarse en el mundo del cine. En 2004 comienza el rodaje del experimento documental Biosfera (hasta 2012) y funda la productora MÍNIMO desde donde produce y dirige las primeras series españolas de ficción para telefonía móvil: Tercer Territorio y Feroces (Vodafone Live!). Desde Mínimo retoma su actividad videocreadora (videoinstalaciones) y emerge en el cine independiente con Púbol (2005). Co-dirige con Pedro Costa los largometrajes Los Que Quisieron Matar a Franco (2006) e Historia De Una Foto (2008). En la actualidad finaliza el rodaje de Xtrámboli. En 2011 crea RINOCERONTE, un canal-net con el que produce su propia obra. Ha sido premiado multitud de veces y su obra ha sido vista en Francia, Italia, Alemania, Australia, EE UU, Japón, Austria, Suiza, Portugal, Dinamarca, Holanda, Grecia, Yugoslavia, Polonia, Cuba, Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil...

JOSÉ RAMÓN DA CRUZ (Tangier, MOROCCO, 03/17/1961) is a video artist, advertising and television director and Spanish film director. In 1978, at 17, he creates the expe- rimental film crew TAU group (Faboproducciones National Sindikat Es- pectákulos). Initiates studies of sociology and political science but he leaves them in order to focus on the world of film. In 2004 he began filming the experimental documentary “Biosphere” (until 2012) and founds the production company “Minimo” from where he produces and directs the first series of Spanish fiction for mobile phones: “Third Territory” (“Tercer Territorio”) and “Fierce” (“Feroces”) (Vodafone Live!). From “Minimo” he resumes his videocreative activities (video installations) and emerges in the independent film world with “Púbol” (2005). Co-directs with Pedro Costa the films “The Ones Who Wanted to kill Franco” (“Los Que Quisieron Matar a Franco”) (2006) and “History of a Photo” (“Historia de una Foto”) (2008). Currently he is finishing filming “Xtrámboli”. He has been awarded many times and his work has been seen in France, Italy, Germany, Australia, USA, Japan, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Denmark, Holland, Greece, Yugoslavia, Poland, Cuba, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil...
