Sinopsis / Synopsis

Descubrimos a uno de los periodistas españoles más populares de la primera mitad del siglo XX. Viajamos a través de la memoria, de los testimonios de biógrafos, expertos, periodistas, actores y actrices y amigos, así como de las lecturas de los artículos de Julio Camba en las ciudades del mundo en las que vivió y trabajó: Buenos Aires, Estambul, Londres, París, Berlín, Roma, Lisboa y NYC. El documental transcurre durante su último baño, en la habitación 383 del Hotel Palace de Madrid, donde Camba vivió sus últimos trece años.

This is a journey to discover one of the most popular Spanish journalists that lived in the first half of the 20th century. We travel in time using memory, biographers, experts, journalists, actors and actresses and some friends. We also use Julio Camba’s amusing articles to visit the cities where he lived and worked: Buenos Aires, Istanbul, London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Lisbon, and NYC. The documentary takes place in his last bath in the room 383 of Madrid’s Hotel Palace, where Camba lived his last 13 years of life.

ASER ÁLVAREZ GONZÁLEZ (Ourense, España, 20/06/1976) Licenciado en Políticas y Periodismo, Máster del diario EL PAÍS y Especialista en Comunicación Audiovisual, fue fundador del Festival de Cine Carlos Velo. Es un prestigioso cineasta que ha trabajado en prensa, radio y televisión y es fundador de Arraianos Producións, curador de exposiciones, autor de libros, guías de viajes y proyectos. multimedia. El documental "100% CEF", protagonizado por Luís Tosar, es su ópera prima, con el que gana numerosos premios nacionales e internacionales. Desde entonces ha producido y dirigido programas de televisión, publicidad y largos y cortos documentales, muchos centrados en los procesos creativos de artistas importantes y en recuperar la memoria y las historias de grandes personajes olvidados.
