Sinopsis / Synopsis

Tras la tragedia del fallecimiento de un bebé en el mar, la familia lo despide, y se inicia desde ese momento la soledad de su hermana, quien siente no solo la pérdida de su hermana bebé, sino la de su madre, quien, ausente ante la perdida, olvida la existencia de su hija, que si está, y se siente muy sola; refugiándose en los sueños de los recuerdos de sus momentos felices con su madre, mezclados con la realidad de lo que pasó. La niña siente como su madre de algún modo también se ha ido.

After the tragedy of the death of a baby at the sea. The family says goodbye to her and from that moment the loneliness of her sister begins, who feels not only the loss of her sister but her mother´s too, who is absent due to the loss, forgeting the existence of her oldest daughter, who feels very lonely. She takes refuge in dreams of memories of happier moments with her mother, mixed with the reality of what happened. The girl feels like her mother is somehow gone too.

Jo García Garrido se inicia como cineasta con éste, su primer cortometraje escrito y dirigido por ella en el año 2022 tras varios años creando en el mundo de la fotografía, la dirección de arte y la edición de publicaciones especializadas en arte, cine, fotografía y moda, siendo su trabajo más destacado la dirección de la revista internacional Tiger. En este cortometraje, Pequeña Soledad, ha querido contar una historia tan solo a través de las imágenes y la música, utilizando continua simbología para contarla.  

Jo García Garrido began as a filmmaker with this, her first short film written and directed by her in the year 2022 after several years of creating in the world of photography, art direction and publishing specialized publications on art, film, photography and fashion, being her most outstanding work being the director of the international magazine Tiger. In this short film, Pequeña Soledad, she wanted to tell a story only through images and music, using continuous symbology to tell it.
