Cuando Sierra vuelve al mundo "mentalmente estable" y se enamora de su mejor amiga, piensa que por fin ha conseguido ser aceptada por lo que es. Pero cuando su familia y profesor la rechazan, descubre el precio de ser ella misma y no de lo que los demás quieren que sea.

When Sierra re-enters the world of the “mentally stable” and falls in love with her best friend, she thinks she's finally found acceptance for who she is. But when her family and teacher reject her truth, she discovers the cost of being herself versus being what others want her to be.

EMMA BARRETT (Queensland, AUSTRALIA, 1986). Emma es directora, buceadora, hula hooper, viajera y exploradora australiana asentada en Los Ángeles. 'Take the Reins' es su debut como directora. A Emma le interesa explorar todos los aspectos de su vida y reflejarlos en su trabajo y en la interpretación. Sus próximos proyectos incluyen un corto, 'Morgan and Bradley' (2017), y un largometraje, 'Doors of Perception' (2019).

EMMA BARRETT (Queensland, AUSTRALIA, 1986). Emma is an Australian filmmaker, skydiver, hula hooper, traveler and seeker, living in LA. 'Take the Reins' is her debut film as a director. Emma is interested in exploring the edge in all aspects of her life, which reflects in her work and her play. Upcoming productions include a short film, 'Morgan and Bradley' (2017) and a feature film, 'Doors of Perception' (2019).
