Sinopsis / Synopsis

Mark, un novato cazador de tormentas de 60 años recientemente diagnosticado de cáncer de pulmón, sale al medio oeste con el sobrino de su amigo en busca de un tornado, antes de que la temporada llegue a su fin.

Mark, a 60 year old fledgling storm chaser recently diagnosed with lung cancer, sets out across the Midwest with his friend's nephew in search of a tornado before the two month season comes to an end.

LIAM SAINT-PIERRE (Blackburn, INGLATERRA, 1977). Comenzó haciendo fotografía y como operador de cámara en documentales con Shane Meadows en Warp Films. El deseo de contar historias llevó a Liam a la dirección y sus habilidades como versátil director le permitieron crear un íntimo y bello imaginario a través de una variedad de medios. Su estilo cinematográfico mezclado con un tierno realismo y humor sutil se traduce en diferentes géneros, contando historias siempre desde el corazón. Inicialmente en documentales, pero este enfoque narrativo se ha traducido en videos musicales, cortometrajes y trabajos comerciales. Las películas de Liam han ganado en premios en numerosos festivales, incluyendo Mejor Documental en los festivales internacionales de Berlín, Barcelona, Nueva York y Leeds. Han sido proyectadas en más de 100 festivales alrededor del mundo, incluyendo Tribeca, Sheffield Docfest, DOC NYC, o London Short Film Festival. LIAM SAINT-PIERRE (Blackburn, ENGLAND, 1977). Liam’s background was as a documentary camera operator, where he worked with the likes of Shane Meadows at Warp Films. With a desire to tell stories, Liam’s path naturally led to directing, where his skills as a versatile filmmaker allowed him to create beautiful and intimate imagery across a variety of mediums. His cinematic style mixed with a tender realism and subtle humour translates into different genres, with story telling always at the heart. Initially this was in documentaries, but a focus on narrative has been translated into music videos, short films and commercial work. Liam's films have won awards at a number of festivals, including best documentary at Berlin, Barcelona, New York and Leeds International film festival. They have been screened at over 100 film festivals around the globe, including Tribeca, Sheffield Docfest, DOC NYC, London Short Film Festival and many more. He work has also garnered 6 Vimeo staff picks. His work has featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic, Short of the Week and It's nice that. Liam's current documentary 'The Last Storm' was in competition & had it's World Première at Tribeca Film Festival 2018.
