Sinopsis / Synopsis

Val, una antigua bombero, está incapacitada por agorafobia debido a una agresión sexual en el trabajo. Se encuentra enfadada, sin trabajo e incapaz de salir de casa. Ahora debe encontrar la forma de volver a ser la persona que era para poder enfrentarse a la luz del sol.

Val, A former firefighter, is incapacitated by agoraphobia due to a sexual assault at work. She finds herself angry, jobless and unable to leave the house. Now, she must find a way to summon the person she used to be in order to brave the sunlight.

Samantha Lavin es una galardonada directora, ayudante de dirección y guionista del DGA que ha trabajado en proyectos de cine y televisión como "Dear White People", "Roar" y "The Mighty Ducks".   Sam es una hábil narradora con una visión que se presta a tonos cómicos oscuros, especializada en historias sobre la disfunción familiar, la adicción, la capacidad del otro y los desvalidos.  Escribió y dirigió la película "In Memory of Me", que se proyectó en más de 40 festivales de todo el mundo. Recientemente, Sam ha escrito un proyecto piloto titulado "Queens Village", finalista del concurso Screencraft TV Pilot Competition.

Samantha Lavin is an award winning DGA director, assistant director and writer who has worked on film and television projects including “Dear White People”, “Roar” and “The Mighty Ducks”.   Sam is a skilled storyteller with a vision lending to dark comic tones, specializing in stories about family dysfunction, addiction, other-ability and the underdog.  She wrote and directed the film, "In Memory of Me" which screened at over 40 festivals worldwide. Most recently Sam wrote a pilot called “Queens Village”; it is a finalist in the Screencraft TV Pilot Competition.
