Calor sofocante. Las pocas personas que quedan en la ciudad están huyendo al interior del país. Autos abandonados por las calles, ruidos extraños que vienen del cielo, cientos de animales marinos varados en la costa. A pesar de la inminencia del fin del mundo, Jamila sale de su casa con un solo objetivo: arreglar su ventilador.

The heat is unbearable. The few people remaining in the city are escaping to the countryside. Abandoned cars on the streets, strange noises coming from the sky, hundreds of sea animals stranded on the coast. Even with the imminence of the end of the world, Jamila left home with one goal: to fix her fan.

CÍNTIA DOMIT (Curitiba, Brasil, 08/04/1986) Se graduó en cine en 2007 y entró en el mercado audiovisual como montadora. En 2010, abrió su propia compañía de producción de cine con sus socios, compañeros de la universidad. El corto ¿Qué Queso Quieres?, fue su primera película como directora desde su graduación, y fue seleccionado para los festivales más importantes, ganador del premio de mejor cortometraje en el Rio International Film Festival, el festival más grande de América Latina, entre otros. Ahora, Cíntia estrena dos nuevos cortos: El tiempo que lleva y El secreto de la familia Oso.

CÍNTIA DOMIT (Curitiba, Brazil, 04/08/1986) She graduated in cinema in 2007. In 2010, after working as a film editor in several productions, she founded the production company Novelo Filmes, which debuted, in 2011, with the short film “Which Cheese Do You Want?”, one of the most successful shorts of the recent Brazilian cinema. It was selected for over 60 festivals (national and International), winning great prizes as Best Short Film at Rio International Film Festival, the biggest festival in Latin America. In 2013 is releasing two new short-films: The Time it Takes, with premiered in Rio International Film Festival and The Bear Family Secret, still unseen.
