Maja es una introvertida joven de 14 años, discreta y tranquila, que vive en un orfanato desde que era pequeña. En los primeros años de su adolescencia, se enamora de un sacerdote que visita regularmente su hogar para oficiar servicios religiosos y atender a las monjas que viven allí.

Maja is an introvert, discrete and calm 14-year-old girl who lives in an orphanage since she was little. In the early years of her teen, she falls in love with a priest who regularly visits her home to lead religious services —while also attending to the nuns stationed there.

GIOVANNI RUSTANTO (Malang, INDONESIA, 1981) siempre ha estado fascinado con el mundo visual. A partir de su experiencia como fotógrafo (especializado en moda), Gio unió su obsesión por el cine antiguo y la unió a su delicada sensibilidad para la moda. Gio siempre se desafía a sí mismo con un ángulo fresco pero interesante para ver las cosas, ya que ahora está totalmente concentrado en escribir y dirigir películas. "Red Ribbon" es su segundo cortometraje como guionista y director, después de "Maria" (2017).

GIOVANNI RUSTANTO (Malang, INDONESIA, 1981) has always been fascinated with the visual-making world. Hailing from his experience as photographer, specifically fashion photography, Gio took his healthy obsession of the old cinema and marry it with his delicate knack for fashion. As a person who’s constantly dealing with visuals almost everyday, Gio always challenge himself to come up with fresh yet interesting angle on looking at things as he is now fully concentrate as a storyteller in filmmaking specialized both in writer and director. "Red Ribbon" is his second short film as a writer and director, after "Maria" (2017).
