Sinopsis / Synopsis

En el último día de curso de la Academia de especialistas, niños con autismo muestran sus habilidades especiales, esas que a veces los demás pueden ver como obsesiones, manías o rituales inútiles y que sin embargo son formas de comunicarse y de hacer el mundo más manejable y lógico.

On the last day of the Academy of Specialists course children with autism show off their special abilities, those that others sometimes see as obsessions, odd habits or useless rituals but that nevertheless are forms of communication and for them make the world more manageable and logical.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

MIGUEL GALLARDO (Lleida, 27/12/1955) En 2007 publica el cómic “María y yo”, por el que recibe el Premio Nacional del Cómic de Cataluña en 2008, origen de la película documental del mismo nombre, dirigida por Félix Fernández de Castro. La película fue finalista en los Premios Goya 2011 como Mejor Documental, además de ser premiada en varios festivales. Tras esta experiencia Miguel realiza el cortometraje de animación “El viaje de María”, producido por la Fundación Orange. El corto, premiado en varios festivales, trata de sensibilizar a la sociedad sobre el autismo. En 2012 Miguel ha realizado un nuevo corto, “Academia de especialistas”.

MIGUEL GALLARDO (Lleida, Spain, 12/27/1955) In 2007 published the “Maria and I” comic. It was a finalist in the 2011 Goya awards in the Best Documentary film category and in 2008 it won the Catalonian Comic National Award. A documentary of the same name was produced and directed by Felix Fernández de Castro. Following this experience Miguel made “Maria's Journey”, an animated short film produced by the Orange Foundation that won several film festival awards and makes society more sensitive to the upheavals of autism spectrum disorder. In 2012 Miguel made a new short film, the Academy of Specialists.
