Sinopsis / Synopsis

Elsa, de 12 años, vive con su madre en un pequeño pueblo de la Provenza francesa. Espera con impaciencia la llegada de su abuelo argelino, que les visita por primera vez. Este encuentro transformará inesperadamente la relación con su madre.

Elsa, 12, lives with her mother in a small village in Provence, France. She eagerly awaits the arrival of her Algerian grandfather who is visiting them for the first time. This encounter will unexpectedly transform her relationship with her mother.

CORALIE LAVERGNE (Eaubonne, Francia, 19/08/1988) Comenzó su carrera de guionista en 2018 y se formó en el Groupe Ouest. A continuación, dirigió dos cortometrajes, «Champagne» y «Hermano y hermana», que han acumulado más de 70 selecciones internacionales y se emitieron en France.tv. «Aïcha», su tercer cortometraje, refleja su deseo de explorar sus raíces argelinas y el concepto de identidades múltiples, un tema en el que también profundiza con su proyecto de serie «Marguerite, Malika, Cherif y sus hermanos», que ganó el Gran Premio del festival de guionistas de Valence y obtuvo la beca Beaumarchais en 2022. También está desarrollando tres proyectos de series: «À bord la vie» (UGC productions), «RUPTURES» (seleccionada para el festival de Valence en 2020) con Superstructure Productions, y «Bagnardes» con Atlantique Productions (Groupe Mediawan).

CORALIE LAVERGNE (Eaubonne, France, 19/08/1988) She began her screenwriting career in 2018 and trained at Groupe Ouest. Following this, she directed two short films, "Champagne" and "Brother and Sister," which have accumulated over 70 international selections and were broadcast on France.tv. "Aïcha," her third short film, reflects her desire to explore her Algerian roots and the concept of multiple identities, a theme she also delves into with her series project "Marguerite, Malika, Cherif and Their Brothers," which won the Grand Prize at the Valence screenwriters' festival and was awarded the Beaumarchais grant in 2022.
