Sinopsis / Synopsis

Hiady es una mujer otomí que, tras haber dejado su comunidad en busca de una vida mejor, vuelve a casa en víspera de Día de Muertos para reencontrarse con su familia. Tendrá que enfrentarse a los cambios que tanto la cultura hñähñu como su familia han sufrido en su ausencia, complicando, como consecuencia, la relación con sus parientes.

Hiady is an Otomí woman who, after having left her community in search of a better life, returns home on the Day of the Dead Eve in order to reencounter with the remaining members of her family. All of the changes in her family and the hñähñu culture will definitely complicate her relationships with her relatives.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

YAGO DE TORRES (Madrid, ESPAÑA, 1995). Licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual por la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, finalizó sus estudios en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, especializándose en Dirección en el Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos. Ha tomado clases de Dirección en la Escuela de Cinematografía y del Audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid (ECAM), y fue seleccionado para participar en el Young European Film Forum en 2015 (YEFF-BRUSSELS), donde realizó el cortometraje documental "Tous Ensemble". Ha dirigido los cortometrajes de ficción, "Ayer Florecía" y "Adagio", y ha trabajado en diferentes proyectos audiovisuales como "Día para nadie" (Daniel López y Federico Maniá, 2017), o "Ropa sucia" (Daniel Jordán e Iván Blanco, 2017). 

YAGO DE TORRES (Madrid, SPAIN, 1995). He studied Film, Television and Media Studies in the University Carlos III in Madrid and concluded his studies at the UNAM (México), specializing in Direction at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC). He has taken directing classes at the ECAM (Madrid), and was selected to participate in the Young Eurpean Film Forum in 2015 (YEFF- BRUSSELS), where he co-directed the short documentary "Tous Ensemble". He has directed the short fiction films "Ayer florecía" and "Adagio", and he has collaborated in several audiovisual projects such as "Día para nadie" (Daniel López & Federico Maniá, 2017), or "Ropa sucia" (Daniel Jordán & Iván Blanco, 2017).
