Director y guionista, David es miembro de la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España desde el año 98 cuando fue nominado al Goya a la mejor dirección novel. Ha escrito y/o dirigido largometrajes cinematográficos como Memorias del Ángel Caído, película seleccionada por el Festival Internacional de Cinema de Sitges y a la que «el tiempo le ha otorgado categoría de culto. Imprescindible para entender el devenir del nuevo cine fantástico realizado en España» (Amazon), Somneo Más de mil cámaras velan por tu seguridad, que llegó a estrenarse en el EgyptianTheatre de Los Ángeles en el marco del “Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival” y que estuvo nominada a los premios de la Academia en la categoría de “Mejor sonido”. En distintos ámbitos del audiovisual, ha colaborado con productoras como “Filmanova”, “Lotus Films”, “Pedro Costa PC” o “Mediapro”. También ha dirigido series como Tres días de abril para TVE.
