Sinopsis / Synopsis

Adriana es una joven viuda que vive en un pequeño pueblo rural. Obligada por las costumbres a guardar luto perpetuo, su vida se reduce al pequeño universo de su hogar y al escaso contacto que mantiene con su cuñado y sus dos hijos. Cuando se le diagnostica una enfermedad grave, debe emprender un viaje iniciático durante el que descubrirá una vida que le estaba prohibida pero que es lo más parecido que ella ha conocido a eso que llamamos felicidad.

Adriana is a young widow living in a small rural town. Forced by custom to keep perpetual mourning, her life is reduced to the small universe of her home and the little contact with her brother-in-law and her two sons. When it is diagnosed with a serious illness, Adriana must undertake a spiritual journey during which she will discover a life that was forbidden for her but that is the closest thing she has known to that what we call happiness.

FRANCISCO HERVADA (Tordesillas, 17/06/1972) Adapta un cuento de Mario Benedetti para su primer cortometraje: “La lluvia y los hongos” (1998), y un texto propio para el segundo “La herida” (2000). Con la producción de “La melodía del cuerpo” realiza “Hipnosis” (2005), “La gota (que colma el vaso)” (2008) y “Nada de nadie” (2010), su primer largometraje, adaptación libre de “Apuntes del subsuelo” de Dostoievski. Posteriormente, siguiendo el decálogo de #littlesecretfilms realiza el documental “Cómo puede una mujer, que es tan grande, entrar por los ojos, que son tan pequeños” (2014). Paralelamente desarrolla su faceta más experimental en cortos como “Ausencia” (2003), “Rothko” (2007) o la colección de vídeo-arte “Enseres”. Hasta llegar a “Eremita” (2015) un largometraje que bebe de la ficción, de la improvisación teatral, del vídeo-arte, de la música experimental... Su último trabajo es “El viaje” un cortometraje basado en un cuento corto de Luigi Pirandello en el que se retoma el leit-motiv de sus cortometrajes narrativos: es imposible ser feliz.

FRANCISCO HERVADA (Tordesillas, SPAIN, 06/17/1972) Adapts a story by Mario Benedetti for his first short film, "Rain and fungi" (1998) and a text wrote by himself for the second "The wound" (2000). With the production of "La melodía del cuerpo" performs "Hypnosis" (2005), "The drop (that breaks the glass)" (2008) and "Nothing of nobody" (2010), his first feature film, loosely based on "Notes from the subsurface" by Dostoievski. Subsequently, he follows the #littlesecretfilms decalogue to make the documentary "How can a woman, who is so great, go through the eyes, which are so small" (2014). His latest feature "Eremite" (2015) draws on fiction, improvisational theater, video-art and experimental music... He also develops his experimental side in short as "Absence" (2003), "Rothko" (2007) or the collection of video-art "Enseres". Currently, he works in "The voyage" a short film based on a Luigi Pirandello's story.
