Sinopsis / Synopsis

A última hora de la tarde, en una barbería londinense, un extraño forastero se enamora de un barbero encantador. Entre ellos surge una atracción improbable y, tras un afeitado que cambia la vida del forastero, los dos se van a tomar una copa. A medida que el alcohol disminuye las inhibiciones del forastero, su fascinación por el afeitado empieza a revelar un oscuro deseo.

Late evening in a London barbershop, an awkward stranger becomes enamoured with a charming barber. An unlikely attraction sparks between them and after a life-changing shave for The Stranger, the two go for a drink. As alcohol lowers The Stranger’s inhibitions, his fascination for shaving starts to reveal a dark desire.

LUIGI SIBONA (Londres, Reino Unido, 07/10/1993) Es un escritor y director neurodivergente centrado en la narrativa de género con una fuerte columna vertebral social. Su trabajo pretende provocar y subvertir a través de historias progresistas e inesperadas, sin olvidar nunca la alegría de un hilo desgarrador. Tras iniciarse en la dirección de vídeos musicales y el montaje publicitario, desarrolló un estilo visual distintivo con su director de fotografía Jordan Stephens, con el que fundó la productora Hollow Films. El primer cortometraje de Luigi, «Mantis», que obtuvo un BAFTA, le llevó a participar en varios festivales del Reino Unido y del extranjero que conceden premios BAFTA y de la Academia, y ganó numerosos galardones, entre ellos el de Mejor Cortometraje de Terror en los British Short Film Awards.

LUIGI SIBONA (London, United Kingdom, 07/10/1993) He is a neurodivergent writer and director focusing on genre narrative with a strong social backbone. His work aims to provoke and subvert through progressive and unexpected stories while never forgetting the joy of a ripping yarn. Cutting his teeth directing music videos and editing in advertising, he developed a distinctive visual style with his long-standing DOP Jordan Stephens, going on to found the production company Hollow Films. Luigi’s BAFTA-qualifying first short film ‘Mantis’ propelled him into multiple BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals across the UK and abroad, winning numerous awards including Best Horror at The British Short Film Awards.
