Sinopsis / Synopsis

Día de entrenamiento en el estadio Zetra en Sarajevo. Mujo, de diez años falla su tiro de penalti, la pelota vuela por encima de la portería y desaparece entre las tumbas del cementerio que remplazaron los campos de juego durante la guerra. ¡Ve a buscarla por donde los cristianos! grita alguno de los jugadores ¡En los musulmanes! responden otros, Mujo deambula por el reino de los muertos.

It’s training time at the Zetra stadium in Sarajevo. Ten-year-old Mujo misses his penalty kick. The ball flies over the goal and disappears among the tombstones of the graveyard that replaced the sports grounds during the war. “Go search among the Christians!” some of his playmates yell. “Seek among the Muslims!” others snicker. Searching for the ball, Mujo wanders in the kingdom of the dead.

URSULA MEIER (Besançon, FRANCIA, 1971) francesa-suiza, estudió en la IAD en Bélgica. El éxito de sus cortometrajes le permitió seguir una carrera independiente. Después de los documentales Around Pinget y Not the Cops, not the Blacks, not the Whites, dirigió Strong Shoulders una película de televisión para ARTE que obtuvo gran éxito. Home, su debut de cine, se estrenó en la Semana de la Crítica del Festival de Cannes en el 2008 y recibió premios en varios festivales de cine. Escribió Sister para el joven Kacey Mottet Klein, hijo de Isabelle Huppert en Home. Sister recibió el Oso de Plata en el Festival en Berlín en 2012.

URSULA MEIER (Besançon, FRANCE, 1971) French-Swiss, studied at the IAD in Belgium. The success of her shorts enabled her to pursue an independent career. After the documentaries Around Pinget and Not the Cops, not the Blacks, not the Whites, she directed Strong Shoulders, a TV film for ARTE which met with great acclaim. Home, her cinema début, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival Critics’ Week in 2008 and received awards at many film festivals. She wrote her film Sister for young Kacey Mottet Klein, Isabelle Huppert’s son in Home. Sister received a Silver Bear Special Award at the 2012 Berlin Film Festival.
