Sinopsis / Synopsis

En plena mitad del siglo XIX, en una pequeña villa normanda, el vizconde Signoles reta a un hombre que ha estado lanzado miradas obscenas a la mujer de un amigo. El duelo queda fechado para el día siguiente. Cobarde cuenta la historia de esas fatídicas 24 horas.

It is the middle half of the nineteenth century. On a small village in Normandy, the viscount Signoles, challenge a man who has been released looks obscene to the wife of a friend. The duel is dated for the next day. Coward tells the story of those fateful 24 hours.

DAVID RODRÍGUEZ (Avilés, 31/01/1982) Estudia Imagen y Sonido en el IES Aramo (Oviedo) y obtiene el título de realización en la escuela de cine de Ponferrada y en el CECC. Entre 2004 y 2006 firma como director y guionista El retrato oval Regresum, Microcosmos y en 16mm Alfredo l'alquimista, seleccionado en la sección oficial del IFF. En 2008 rueda Chalaneru, que obtiene el premio al mejor corto en asturiano en el XI certamen de cortos Aula 18. Entre 2009 y 2010 produce y realiza Fragmentos Vol 1 (selección de piezas de video-creación) y dirige el mediometraje documental El estado exponencial. En 2011 escribe y dirige Un cobarde, adaptación del relato corto de Guy de Maupassant, para la productora Amanita Films de Ivan Patiño.
