Sinopsis / Synopsis
En Vélingara, al sur de Senegal, un grupo de adolescentes lucha por hacer teatro. Para lograr subirse al escenario y formar parte del viaje que les llevará por la región de la Casamance, tendrán que luchar contra sus miedos y sus propias familias, escogiendo entre la tradición y la modernidad.
In Velingara, southern Senegal, a group of teenagers struggle to do theater. To go on stage and be part of the trip that will take them through the region of Casamance, they must fight aganist their fears and their own families, choosing between tradition and modernity.

JAVIER ARCOS (Almería, 29/11/1978) Médico y documentalista, trabaja alternando proyectos de cine documental con cooperación internacional. En 2007 crea con JAVIER JARILLO (Málaga, 03/02/1978), realizador y productor, la productora Synechia Films, especializada en cine social. Su primer largometraje juntos es “Shame in the time of cholera”. Durante 2011 han trabajado en cuatro documentales de la Videoteca Internacional de Medicina Humanitaria (proyecto en colaboración con la Organización Mundial de la Salud y la Agencia Española de Cooperación al Desarrollo)
JAVIER ARCOS (Almería, Spain, 11/29/1978), doctor and filmmaker, is actually combining his work as a filmmaker and as a doctor in health humanitarian emergencies. In 2007 he created the company Synechia Films with JAVIER JARILLO (Malaga, Spain, 02/03/1978), filmmaker and producer, specialized in Social Cinema. "Shame in the Time of Cholera" is their first feature film. During 2011 they have been working in four documentaries of the International Library of Huanitarian Medicine (in collaboration with World Health Association and the Spanish Agency of Cooperation)
