Sinopsis / Synopsis

La Invasión de Bahía de Cochinos (Cuba, 1961) es revelada en la voz de sus protagonistas. Los horrores de la guerra y la sensación de abandono (al no tener la ayuda prometida) son revividos exhaustivamente por estos hombres que, desde el exilio, no han dejado de extrañar a su país.

The invasion of the Bay of Pigs (Cuba, 1961) is revealed to us in the voice of the heroes. The horrors of war, the feeling of abandonment (not having the promised help), are thoroughly relived by these men who have not stopped missing their country.

ELIECER JIMÉNEZ ALMEIDA (Cuba, 1983) es cineasta y videoartista. Realizó de Estudios de Cine Documental en la EICTV de San Antonio de los Baños (2012). Formó parte del Programa de Documentales del Instituto Sundance (2016). En 2008 creó ikaik films, un proyecto para desarrollar películas experimentales. Su filme Persona (2014) fue exhibido por el Museo de Arte Moderno de Nueva York (MoMA, 2018). Ha sido cineasta visitante en la Universidad de Yale, la Universidad de Columbia, la Universidad de Nueva York (NYU. Sus filmes se han exhibido en Estados Unidos, Alemania, Francia, Italia, España, Rusia, Bielorrusia, Bosnia y Herzegovina, Serbia, China, India...

ELIECER JIMÉNEZ ALMEIDA (Cuba, 1983) is a filmmaker and video artist. He studied Documentary Film Studies at the EICTV of San Antonio de los Baños (2012). He was part of the Documentary Program at Sundance Institute (2016). In 2008 he created ikaik films, a project to develop experimental films. His film Persona (2014) was exhibited by the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA, 2018). He has been a visiting filmmaker at Yale University, Columbia University, New York University. His films have been shown in the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, China, India ...
